Good questions
Wind chime questions, answered
Which UpBlend wind chime should I choose?
Choose Wailua for a balanced, everyday tone on a porch or patio. Choose Havasu for a deeper alto voice in larger outdoor spaces. Choose Kindness for a sympathy, memorial or meaningful gift. You can play the real recording of each chime on this page before you decide.
What does tuned to a pentatonic scale mean?
A pentatonic scale uses five notes that all sound good together. Because there are no clashing notes, any combination the wind plays sounds harmonious instead of random or harsh. Wailua is tuned to G Major pentatonic and Havasu to E Major pentatonic.
Who designs UpBlend wind chimes?
UpBlend chimes are designed by music teachers, Ryan and Andrea, and every chime is hand-tuned so it plays a real musical scale.
Is a wind chime a good sympathy or memorial gift?
Yes. A wind chime is a lasting reminder that plays with every breeze. Our Kindness chime comes with an engraved inspirational stone, and the Kindness Memorial chime can be personalized with an engraving on the wind catcher.
How much does shipping cost and can I return a chime?
Shipping is free on every US order. Most orders ship within 1 to 2 business days. You can return a chime within 30 days of delivery; personalized engraved chimes are replaced free if they arrive damaged or incorrect.
